DiGSA – Digital Green Skills Academy: building sustainable competencies in Higher Education

Project summary
DiGSA develops an innovative Three-Tier Integration Framework embedding green skills across all disciplines in European
higher education. Using AI-enhanced digital tools and industry partnerships, we will create open educational resources, train
200 educators, pilot with 500 students across seven countries and establish a scalable model enabling institutions to
integrate sustainability competencies, preparing graduates for green economy careers and supporting Europe’s climate
neutrality goals.
Target groups
Primary Target Group 1: Students from all disciplines (IT, engineering, business, social sciences, arts)
Primary Target Group 2: Educators, university faculty members
Primary Target Group 3: HEIs, partner institutions’ leadership, quality assurance units, and curriculum committees.
Secondary Beneficiaries: industry partners, policy makers
Project results
The main project results are:
- Three-Tier Integration Framework validated across 7 countries;
- AI-enhanced MOOC and 5 discipline-specific modules;
- 10 capstone project templates;
- Digital Green Skills Platform;
- 20 industry partnerships;
- 200 trained educators;
- 500 students with enhanced green competencies;
- policy recommendations for HE institutions;
- OER materials adopted
